Income Property Organization Attends 2018 NMHC Student Housing Conference
Bloomfield Hills, Mich. – October 6, 2018 – Income Property Organization (IPO), one of the region’s most active brokerages focused on serving those connected with the multifamily housing industry, attended this year’s National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) Student Housing Conference on October 3-5, at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach, CA. The Council’s events encourage communication, networking, and idea-sharing within the industry in order to promote growth and development in the field.
This conference consisted of several networking opportunities and lecture sessions on economy, data management, budgeting, risk management, and investments. There were also two keynote speakers; Seth Mattison of Luminate Labs, who is an Internationally renowned expert and author on workforce trends, generational dynamics, and business strategy. The second was Amy Trask, a respected sports executive, analyst with CBS Sports, author, former CEO of the Oakland Raiders, and current Chairman of the Board at BIG 3.
Paul McHugh, one of IPO’s sales associates, attended the event. “The Student Housing New Construction segment was very enlightening and I found the prospect of future development to be very promising. Of importance, 2018 deliveries on new construction are currently at 97% occupancy,” said McHugh. He also noted that Andrew Nelson, Chief Economist for Colliers, said that we are in the second longest economic boom in history. Yet Nelson believes we are at the top of the market and predicts that the summer of 2019 will mark an economic stabilization.
